Enugu Governor’s Wife, Mrs Nkechinyere Mbah Unveils 6,000 Free JAMB & WAEC Registrations for Igbo-Eze South Students

The Wife of the Governor of Enugu State, Her Excellency Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, has formally announced an impactful education support initiative that will provide over 6,000 free JAMB and WAEC registrations to students in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area.

The initiative, launched in collaboration with the local government administration, her foundation Custos Care Foundation and Jimoh Raulf Badamosi Solar Investment Limited, is designed to ensure that financial barriers do not hinder the academic aspirations of young people in the area.

The Igbo-Eze South Local Government Administration will sponsor over 4,000 JAMB registrations.

The Custos Care Foundation will sponsor all female JAMB candidates, reinforcing Her Excellency’s strong commitment to advancing girl-child education.

All WAEC candidates will receive full sponsorship through the partnership with JRB Solar Investment Limited, led by Jimoh Raulf Badamosi.

Describing the initiative as an investment in Enugu’s intellectual capital, Mrs. Mbah emphasised that removing examination fees is a strategic step toward expanding access to higher education and empowering the next generation of leaders.

She also commended the Executive Chairman of Igbo-Eze South LGA, Ugo Ferdinand Ukwueze, for what she described as a thoughtful and forward-looking initiative that prioritises youth development.

Observers note that the programme goes beyond financial relief; it represents a people-centred intervention aimed at strengthening educational inclusion, especially for girls who often face disproportionate barriers to academic advancement.

Parents and eligible students across Igbo-Eze South have been encouraged to take full advantage of the opportunity, as preparations commence for implementation.

With over 6,000 beneficiaries expected, stakeholders say the initiative signals a bold and practical commitment to building a brighter future for Enugu State, one student at a time.
