Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has reportedly registered with the African Democratic Congress, signalling a new political move ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The registration was said to have taken place on March 7, 2026, in Anambra State.
Speaking after completing the registration, Obi reportedly told supporters that he is ready to collaborate with well-meaning Nigerians to challenge what he described as the poor leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress in the 2027 elections.
He also encouraged his supporters across Nigeria and in the diaspora to register with the party and participate actively in shaping the country’s political future.
The development comes as political alignments and preparations for the 2027 elections gradually begin to take shape across the country.
