The political atmosphere in Enugu State is gaining renewed momentum as women under the platform of the Women Wing of City Boy Movement Enugu State Chapter have declared total readiness to deliver electoral victories for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Peter Ndubuisi Mbah ahead of the 2027 general elections, following the strategic rollout of an expansive grassroots mobilisation structure.
The Women Wing of the City Boy Movement, under the leadership of Ambassador Mrs. Amaka Nweke JP, formally launched a comprehensive political framework and a strategic structure spanning from the state level down to polling units across all communities.
The development marks a decisive operational take-off for the women’s wing, positioning it as a formidable grassroots force aligned with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Tinubu and the development-driven governance of Governor Mbah.
In what insiders describe as one of the most coordinated women-led political structures in the state, the movement unveiled a robust network comprising three zonal women leaders, 17 local government women leaders, 260 ward women leaders, and an extensive spread of polling unit women leaders across Enugu State.
Amb Mrs Amaka Nweke meticulously designed a structure in line with directives from the national leadership of the City Boy Movement, expected to drive political education, civic engagement, and grassroots mobilisation at an unprecedented scale. She reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the women’s wing to deliver on its mandate, stressing that the movement is fully aligned with national objectives and determined to mobilise women across all strata of society.
She noted that the establishment of the structure from state to polling unit level represents a strategic consolidation of grassroots strength, aimed at building an informed, organised, and politically active women base.
“We are aligning fully with the national structure with our new state officials to ensure that our women are mobilised, educated, and empowered at every level. From the state down to the polling units, we are building a system that will not only promote participation but also deliver results,” she stated.
In a strong political signal, the women leaders collectively declared their readiness to mobilise massive support not only for President Tinubu but also for all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) endorsed within the state framework, reinforcing a unified political front.
As part of its forward strategy, the women’s wing announced plans to roll out civil engagement campaigns, political sensitisation programmes, and empowerment initiatives targeted at women across communities. These efforts, according to the leadership, are designed to deepen awareness of government policies while strengthening economic and political inclusion.
Observers note that the swift establishment of structures from zonal to polling unit levels signals a well-coordinated and deliberate mobilisation effort that could significantly influence voter alignment ahead of 2027.
