BREAKING!! Mass Exodus: APC Governorship Candidate, Other Join ADC

Former Adamawa State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani and his enter followers have all officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Their defection was confirmed after the party presented her with a membership card, marking the completion of her registration as a member of the ADC.

The party announced the development in a statement shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, noting that Binani had fulfilled all requirements to become a member of the party.

Welcoming the former lawmaker, the ADC said her entry further strengthens its growing membership base across the country. The party also expressed optimism that her experience in politics and public service would contribute meaningfully to its activities as it continues to expand its structures nationwide.

Binani rose to national prominence during the Adamawa State governorship election where she contested for the state’s top seat, becoming one of the most notable female candidates in the race.

Prior to her governorship bid, she served in the National Assembly and built a strong political profile through her involvement in both national and state politics.

Her move to the ADC comes after her earlier resignation from the APC. Binani had announced her exit from the ruling party in June 2025 before eventually deciding to align with the African Democratic Congress.
