BREAKING!! Governor Sacks All Political Appointees, Orders Immediate Handover





Governor of has directed all political appointees to immediately hand over their duties, barely 24 hours after his swearing-in for a second term in office.

The directive was conveyed in an official circular dated March 18, 2026, issued by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Nwabufo Nwankwo. According to the circular, all appointees are to hand over to Permanent Secretaries or, in their absence, the most senior civil servants in their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

The government mandated that the handover process be completed on or before the close of work on March 18, 2026, pending the constitution of a new cabinet.

The circular further instructed first-term cabinet members to meet with Governor Soludo on March 23, 2026, at the Anambra State Executive Council Chambers.

Governor Soludo was sworn in for his second term on March 17, 2026, at the Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka. The development officially dissolves the existing cabinet and signals the beginning of a new administrative phase under his renewed mandate.
