A High Court in has removed from his position as Chairman of Kumbotso Local Government Council.
The court nullified the Certificate of Return earlier issued to Basaf, ruling that it was granted in violation of a subsisting court order.

In its judgment, the court directed that Hardworker be sworn in as the duly elected chairman of Kumbotso Local Government, in line with an earlier ruling delivered on October 25, 2024.
The presiding judge further instructed KANSIEC to comply fully with the previous judgment and urged all parties involved to respect and adhere to judicial decisions.
The ruling effectively brings Basaf’s tenure to an end and clears the way for Hardworker to assume office as ordered by the court.
