BREAKING! APC Suspends Fubara!

The Ward 4 Executive Committee of the (APC) in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State has announced the indefinite suspension of following his legal action against the party.

Dagogo was suspended after reportedly filing a suit at the Federal High Court in Abuja seeking to stop the APC’s forthcoming convention. In his suit, he alleged that he was unjustly excluded from contesting for the position of National Vice-Chairman (South-South), despite paying ₦5.1 million for the party’s nomination form. He further claimed that the party failed to provide him with the form after payment.

In addition to seeking the suspension of the South-South zonal congress, Dagogo asked the court to declare him eligible for the contest, nullify any election conducted without his participation, and award him ₦100 million in damages.

However, the Ward 4 leadership described his actions as gross misconduct and anti-party activity. The decision to suspend him was reached during a meeting held on March 16 and was conveyed by the ward chairman, Richard Ibani. The resolution was also endorsed by the Ward Secretary, Donald Jumbo, alongside 21 other committee members.

According to the ward executive, Dagogo’s actions violated provisions of the APC Constitution 2022 (as amended), specifically Article 21.2 (I), (II), and (VII). The committee accused him of breaching party rules, engaging in conduct capable of embarrassing the party, and disregarding internal dispute resolution mechanisms.

In a statement, the ward leadership noted that members had been consistently advised to avoid actions that could ridicule the party, adding that Dagogo’s conduct demonstrated a lack of willingness to abide by the party’s constitution.

The suspension, the committee emphasized, takes immediate effect, with a call on the state secretariat to ratify the decision and take further necessary actions.
