The SouthEast leadership of National Youth Council Felicitates with Gov. Peter Mbah on his Strategic Alignment with the Centre, Welcomes Him to the Renewed Hope Agenda
The Southeast leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria has formally expressed profound felicitations and declared unwavering support for the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, following his bold and strategic decision to align Enugu State with the party at the centre and to support the reform-driven developmental vision of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
In a statement issued on behalf of the Council’s Southeast leadership, ably led by Comrade Egbo JP Nnamchi, the Council described the Governor’s decision as a courageous, and forward-looking step that places the long-term prosperity of Enugu State above narrow political calculations. According to the Council, this strategic alignment represents a deliberate move to connect Enugu State more meaningfully to federal opportunities, national policy direction, and inclusive developmental resources capable of accelerating growth across critical sectors.
The Council emphasized that Governor Mbah’s action reflects visionary leadership anchored on pragmatism, courage, and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of Ndi Enugu. By choosing collaboration over isolation, the Governor has positioned the state to benefit from the full spectrum of national reforms and infrastructural transformation envisioned within the Renewed Hope framework.
As a mark of solidarity and endorsement, the South East Leadership of the National Youth Youth Council has publicly thrown its weight behind the Governor’s decision, while also formally welcoming him into the Renewed Hope developmental fold championed by the President. The Council noted that this moment signals a new chapter of constructive engagement between the South East and the federal centre, driven by shared responsibility for national progress and regional advancement.
In further demonstration of this support, the South East Vice President of the Council has sponsored and erected strategic billboards across key locations in Enugu State, symbolizing youth endorsement of the Governor’s courageous leadership and affirming collective commitment to the Renewed Hope vision for national transformation. In his statement, Comr. JohnPaul Egbo, the Vice president Southeast of the National Youth Council remarked;
"We erected billboards as our welcome gesture to Gov. Mbah, but billboards are not enough. As 2027 election builds up, we will work to ensure that Gov. mbah's legacies are erected in the hearts of ndi Enugu".
The Council reiterated that the youth constituency across the South East remains deeply invested in purposeful governance, economic expansion, job creation, infrastructure renewal, and social stability all of which are central pillars of the Renewed Hope Agenda and strongly reflected in Governor Mbah’s governance trajectory in Enugu State.
While pledging continued partnership with the Enugu State Government, the Southeast Youth Council leadership called on stakeholders, community leaders, professionals, and the broader youth population to rally behind this moment of strategic realignment, noting that sustainable development is best achieved through unity of purpose, institutional collaboration, and visionary leadership
