President Bola Tinubu has dismissed Fegho John Umunubo from his position as Special Assistant on Digital and Creative Economy attached to the office of Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The announcement was contained in a statement on Monday by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information and Public Relations at the State House.
According to the statement, Umunubo’s appointment was terminated with immediate effect, and he no longer represents the administration in any capacity. Members of the public and stakeholders were also cautioned against conducting any form of engagement with him on behalf of the federal government, stressing that such actions would be at their own risk.
No reason was provided for the decision.
Reacting to the development, Umunubo shared the State House press release on Instagram alongside a personal message in which he described his service as an honour and noted that he was now free to pursue other opportunities.
