The vibrant city of Port Harcourt will shine even brighter on Saturday, September 20, 2025, as one of Enugu State’s most illustrious daughters, Ambassador Dr. Chiesonu Iziga-Eruchalu (PhD, CBA, NIM, FIIMCA), receives the South South Nigeria Humanitarian Advocacy Award. The highly coveted honour, organized by the Global Skills Hub United Kingdom in partnership with the South South Nigeria Excellence Awards, will be presented at The Autograph, New G.R.A, Port Harcourt, in a grand ceremony set to commence at 10 a.m.
This prestigious recognition celebrates Dr. Iziga-Eruchalu’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian service, youth development, and social reforms that have brought Enugu State into national and international limelight. Hailing from Amube in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, Dr. Iziga-Eruchalu exemplifies the rare fusion of intellectual brilliance, compassionate leadership, and transformative action.
Her inspiring journey began at Community Primary School Etiti Ngwo, followed by Queens School Enugu and St. Cyprian’s Special Science School Nsukka, before earning her First Degree, Masters and PhD from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). A lifelong learner, she has pursued advanced studies across the globe, including the International Business School Americas in São Paulo, Brazil, and has amassed a rich portfolio of certifications from the Nigerian Institute of Management and the African Society for Public Administrators. She proudly holds a Certified Business Administrator (CBA) credential, a MasterClass Certificate in Innovation and Brand Building, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Micro Credit Administrators.
A dynamic leader since her university days—where she served in student parliament and chaired a national student conference publicity committee, Dr. Iziga-Eruchalu’s career has been marked by groundbreaking achievements. As Managing Director of Glozig Enterprise, TConsult360, and Chieso Life Foundation (CLF), she has over a decade of experience in consulting, branding, research, and training. Her celebrated flagship project, “Every Child Deserves Education Initiative,” continues to break barriers for underprivileged children, ensuring access to quality education across Nigeria.
Beyond her entrepreneurial exploits, Dr. Iziga-Eruchalu is a political leader, public health consultant, and BBC Igbo-featured voice on national security and leadership issues. She is a former National Vice President of the Ohanaeze Youth Council and has presented constitutional amendment proposals before the Nigerian Senate, fearlessly championing reforms that uplift communities and empower women and youth.
Affectionately known as Agbanchala, Nwaejiejemba, Nnukwu Ada, Anyanwu na-etiri oha, and celebrated for embodying “Beauty and Brains,” Dr. Iziga-Eruchalu is not only a humanitarian powerhouse but also a devoted wife and mother of three.
