TRAGEDY!! Gunmen Attack Base Kill Two Soldiers, Two CJTF Members

Tragedy struck in Dogon Ruwa village, Bashar District of Wase Local Government Area, Plateau State, as a group of armed bandits launched a deadly assault on July 29, 2025, resulting in the deaths of four security personnel.

According to reports by counterinsurgency expert Zagazola Makama, the attackers stormed the village in the afternoon and opened fire indiscriminately on residents and security outposts. However, a combined team of the Nigerian Army, police, and Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) operatives quickly mobilized and engaged the attackers in a fierce gun battle.

Despite managing to repel the attack and force the bandits to retreat, the clash left two soldiers and two CJTF operatives dead.

In response, reinforcements from Operation Safe Haven have been deployed to the area. Security forces are currently conducting a bush-combing operation to pursue and apprehend the fleeing criminals.

This latest attack underscores the persistent insecurity plaguing rural communities in Nigeria’s Middle Belt, as authorities intensify efforts to restore peace and prevent further bloodshed.
