As Nigerians across the country commemorate 26 years of uninterrupted democracy, the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Enugu State on Legislative Matters, Rt. Hon. Paul Nnajiofor, has extended warm Democracy Day wishes to the people of Enugu State while showering heartfelt commendation on Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for his transformational and visionary leadership.
In his goodwill message, Rt. Hon. Nnajiofor described Governor Mbah as a democratic leader per excellence, whose policies and programs have brought Enugu State to the forefront of national and international recognition. He noted that since assuming office, Governor Mbah has consistently demonstrated innovation, courage, and people-centered governance in line with the ideals of democracy.
“Of a truth, Enugu State has transformed under Governor Mbah. We are witnessing a change that is not only visible but also measurable — one that has repositioned our dear state as a globally accepted model of subnational development, digital transformation, and strategic governance,” Nnajiofor stated.
The former lawmaker praised the Governor's unwavering focus on infrastructural renewal, digital economy expansion, water revolution, and youth inclusion in governance, noting that such feats are the hallmarks of modern democracy driven by purposeful leadership.
According to him, “Governor Mbah has redefined governance in Enugu by prioritizing transparency, service delivery, and legislative synergy. He has restored public confidence in the democratic process and proven that democracy works when the right people are in power.”
Rt. Hon. Paul Nnajiofor urged the citizens of Enugu State to continue supporting Governor Mbah’s administration as it works tirelessly to actualize the full potential of the “Tomorrow is Here” agenda. He also called on the people to remain united and uphold the principles of democracy in their daily engagements.
“Happy Democracy Day to all Ndi Enugu and indeed all Nigerians. Let us continue to celebrate our democracy by playing our part in building a stronger, prosperous, and inclusive society,” he concluded.
