JUST NOW!! Top PDP Governor Speaks on Defection to APC!!!!!

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has dismissed speculations suggesting he is planning to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC), following his recent visit to President Bola Tinubu.

The rumors began circulating shortly after Governor Adeleke paid a visit to President Tinubu at his Ikoyi residence in Lagos on Tuesday. He was accompanied by his elder brother, Deji Adeleke, and internationally renowned music star, Davido.

The high-profile meeting quickly gained public attention and sparked political speculation, with some suggesting it could signal an impending defection.

However, the Governor’s media team has firmly denied any political undertones to the visit. In an official statement, the spokesperson clarified that the meeting was strictly a private family visit, and had nothing to do with political realignment or defection plans.

The statement reiterated Governor Adeleke’s unwavering loyalty to the PDP, affirming that he has no intention of leaving the party. It also described the reports of defection as false and mischievous attempts to sow confusion.

Meanwhile, the Osun State chapter of the APC has also addressed the speculations. A senior party figure and former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Timothy Owoeye, told journalists that the APC is not in any form of negotiation with Governor Adeleke or his associates.

Owoeye stressed that the APC is focused on internal party development and has no plans to offer its 2026 governorship ticket to any outsider.
