Suspected Fulani herdsmen hijacked a Benue Links mass transit bus carrying traders from Orie Orba Market in Enugu State to Benue on Saturday evening, May 31, 2025. The attack occurred around Eyiupi community in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State.
Eyewitness reports say most of the passengers were female and were led into the forest around the Owukpa–Orokam axis. One seriously injured victim, left behind by the assailants, is now receiving treatment at St. Mary’s Hospital in Okpoga. According to local vigilante leader Amos Agada, no contact has been made with the victims’ families, though rescue operations are underway.
