Enugu State Governor, Mbah to Flag Off Enugu North Urban Renewal Projects June 19


Enugu North Local Government Area will on Thursday, 19th June 2025, host the official commissioning of key infrastructure projects under the first phase of its urban renewal programme. The event, to be performed by the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, will feature the unveiling of newly asphalted roads, a renovated City Hall, and the launch of 1,000 solar-powered street lights across the LGA’s 13 wards, all in alignment with the state government’s broader urban transformation agenda.

Order of Programmes:


1. Commissioning of the fully asphalted Ihewuishi Street, Ogui/ Ukwa Street Road; linking Presidential Road to Alvan Ikoku Street and Rangers Avenue.


2. Commissioning of the fully asphalted Owa Street & St. Peter’s Anglican Church Road; connecting Ngenevu and Okpatu Street, Coal Camp.


3. Commissioning of the upgraded and fully equipped City Hall, located at the Enugu North LGA Headquarters.


4. Flag-off of the installation of 1,000 units of 300-watt solar-powered street lights; to be distributed across urban communities in the 13 wards of Enugu North LGA.
