BREAKING! Governor’s Aide Resigns

An aide to the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, has announced his resignation from office.

Wale Ade-Oba, who served as a member of the Ekiti State Waste Management Board, made his decision public on Tuesday. He cited dissatisfaction with the performance of Governor Oyebanji’s administration as the primary reason for his resignation.

Ade-Oba criticized the government for failing to deliver real development to the state despite receiving significant financial allocations. He expressed particular concern for the lack of progress in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area, his place of origin.

He further accused the governor of frequently being absent from the state and pursuing unclear plans that offer no tangible benefits to the people. According to him, this lack of presence and direction has negatively affected leadership and productivity throughout Ekiti.

The former aide also alleged that loyal members of the ruling party are being neglected, while individuals from opposition parties are being favored with top appointments. He described this as a betrayal of those who toiled for the party’s victory.

Following his resignation, Ade-Oba declared his intention to work with Kayode Ojo, the Pro-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria Nsukka. He stated that Ojo has a better vision for Ekiti State and would engage dedicated party members more inclusively in governance.
