The Kano State Police Command has apprehended seven individuals, including some minors, for obstructing traffic near the roundabout close to the Kano Government House while attempting to film a video for social media.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the incident occurred as the group deliberately blocked the busy road in a bid to create a "trending" online video. He confirmed the arrests in a statement shared via his official Facebook page on Friday night.
The act, widely seen as disruptive, has drawn mixed reactions online. While some praised the police for maintaining law and order, others expressed concerns over what they called misplaced priorities, urging authorities to focus on more pressing issues in the state.
