JUST IN: Governor Swears in Five New Permanent Secretaries

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State swore in five new permanent secretaries on Monday.

Speaking during the ceremony held in Jos, the governor said his administration is committed to improving the civil service through important reforms. He criticized some of the wrong practices currently affecting the system.

Governor Mutfwang told the newly appointed permanent secretaries to use their experience to help improve the civil service and make it a better place for workers.

“You are coming when a lot is going wrong in the civil service; what we have seen over the years is not what we can be proud of.

“So, we are going to be deliberate in ensuring that we raise the bar of governance in every ministry, department and agency,” the governor said.

He also encouraged them to be good leaders and serve as mentors to younger staff in their ministries and departments.
