The Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the appointment of Comrade Mubarak Jimah as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Student Welfare and Development, marking a significant step toward youth and student inclusion in governance.
The appointment, announced on Monday, May 5, 2025, is seen as a strategic move by the Governor to deepen his administration’s engagement with the student community and to address critical concerns around student welfare, empowerment, and educational development in the state.
Comrade Mubarak Jimah, a well-known youth leader and student advocate, brings to the role a robust background in activism, policy engagement, and developmental advocacy. He is a former Students’ Union leader with a track record of championing student rights and fostering platforms for youth inclusion at various levels.
