Popular streamer, Peller, has recounted a recent online altercation with controversial singer Portable, revealing that the two have blocked each other on social media following a disagreement over the artist's posts.
Speaking during a live stream, Peller said he had woken up one Sunday morning to see a video posted by Portable that contained what he described as “ritualist content.” Concerned about the implications, Peller commented under the post, advising the singer to stop sharing such material online.
"I told him in the comment section that it wouldn’t be good if I ended up blocking him. But instead of reconsidering, he blocked me on Instagram. So I blocked him back on TikTok,” Peller said.
Expressing disapproval, he added:
“Person go go church on Sunday, Monday morning make person dey see ritualist stuff online—I no understand. I don’t love what he’s posting, and I’ve told him.”
The incident has sparked a variety of reactions online. Some users defended Portable, while others sided with Peller. One commenter, @prince_jokotoye, noted the inconsistency in public reactions to different traditional religious expressions, saying, “When Peller goes to Alfa, aka Elebo Saudi, he posts it... but Portable cannot post Ifa online.”
The controversy adds to Portable’s history of provocative social media content, which has often drawn mixed reactions from fans and critics alike.
