In a bid to maintain decorum and avoid unnecessary political rivalry during President Bola Tinubu’s official visit to Anambra State on Thursday, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and other political groups have been instructed not to wear party uniforms or branded clothing.
The directive was issued by the Anambra State Government through the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu. The advisory aims to ensure that the President’s visit remains focused on governance and developmental matters rather than political display or competition among rival groups.
Dr. Obiogbolu emphasized that this move is intended to prevent any form of public showmanship or distractions that could take attention away from the purpose of the visit, which is centered around progress and fostering unity for the state. This action comes as a proactive effort to maintain a peaceful and respectful atmosphere during such an important event.
