Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has cried out over an alleged attempted abduction at a First Bank branch.

The singer, who appeared visibly distressed in a viral video, claimed he was tracked to the bank and narrowly escaped being kidnapped by unidentified individuals. He did not provide specific details about the alleged assailants but insisted that the incident happened shortly after he entered the bank for a transaction.

According to Portable, his account containing what he described as “over 400 billion naira” had been locked. He emphasized that his account is strictly for business and maintained that he is not involved in fraudulent activities.

“All I did was complain. They ought to hear me out, because a customer is always right,” he said, lamenting the lack of support he allegedly received from the bank staff during the ordeal.

The incident comes amid wider controversy involving fellow entertainer Verydarkman and Guaranteed Trust Bank (GTB), though it remains unclear if the two cases are related.

Portable’s latest claims have sparked mixed reactions across social media, with some users expressing concern while others questioned the credibility of his statements.
