BREAKING: Nkanu Youths Economic Receives Major Boost, As Odera Helping Hands Foundation Donates N5 Million

The Nkanu Youths Economic Summit 2025 has received a major boost with the announcement that the Odera Helping Hands Foundation is now the official sponsor of the much-anticipated youth-centered initiative. This development follows the foundation's generous donation of Five Million Naira (₦5,000,000) in support of the summit’s objectives, marking a significant milestone in the journey to empower and uplift young people across the Nkanu region.

In a heartfelt statement, Dika David, President of the Nkanu Youth Organization, praised the foundation and its founder, Chief Samson Chukwu Nnamani, for their steadfast commitment to social development and human capital empowerment. He described the sponsorship as more than a financial contribution, calling it a bold affirmation of faith in the untapped potential of the Nkanu youth.

“To us, this is more than just a gesture, it is a clear statement of the organization's belief in the potential of our youth,” David said.

He went on to acknowledge Chief Nnamani’s long-standing legacy of compassion and philanthropy, citing years of quiet yet impactful interventions, from paying school fees for indigent students to supporting widows and grassroots development efforts across communities, all without seeking public acclaim.

“Chief Samson Chukwu Nnamani is the very embodiment of the spirit of upliftment. Today, he has chosen to stand behind the youths of Nkanu,” the statement noted.

According to Dika David, the summit was conceived as more than a one-off event, but as a transformational platform, one that will build youths through mentorship, apprenticeship, and capital support, drawing inspiration from the time-tested Igbo nwa-boi apprenticeship system. The structured internship and empowerment model aims to equip young people not just with skills but with the drive and tools to create sustainable enterprises and employment opportunities.

“We are giving our youths the tools to no longer wait for opportunities, but to create them,” David emphasized.

He expressed deep appreciation for Chief Nnamani’s decision to align with the summit’s vision, declaring that the support from Odera Helping Hands Foundation will never be taken for granted by the youth of Nkanu.

“By opting to become the official sponsor of the Nkanu Youths Economic Summit 2025, he has demonstrated his belief in our collective potential as young persons. And for that, on behalf of every young man and woman in Nkanu, we say thank you.”

The announcement concluded with a call to action:

“To our youth: this is your time. To our stakeholders: the work has begun. And to everyone who still believes in the future of our Youth — join us. Let us with hope and commitment build something beautiful, together.”

As preparations for the Nkanu Youths Economic Summit 2025 gain momentum, this landmark sponsorship is expected to set the tone for deeper collaborations and expanded opportunities for youth across the region.
