BREAKING! "I Recognise Two Of My Kidnappers" Afenifere Youth President Raises Alarm After Identifying Kidnappers in Current Viral Hostage Video

The National Youth President of Afenifere, Prince Eniola Ojajuni, has sounded a distress call to national security agencies after identifying two of his former abductors in a recent viral video showing armed men holding several hostages.

In a press statement released on Thursday, Ojajuni described the footage as “deeply disturbing,” noting that the same individuals featured in the video were among those who kidnapped him earlier this year. The youth leader spent 12 harrowing days in captivity after being abducted near Akunu Akoko, Ondo State, on February 17, 2025.

“These are not just anonymous criminals — I recognise at least two of the men in this video. They were part of the group that kidnapped me,” Ojajuni stated. “This is a national emergency. We cannot allow these acts of terrorism to continue unchecked.”

He urged the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, and Southwest governors to take immediate action to track and apprehend the criminals, rescue the current hostages, and dismantle their networks.

Ojajuni also detailed the brutality of his own abduction, recounting how his vehicle was riddled with bullets before he was forcibly taken by armed men, some disguised in military uniforms. During his captivity, he suffered two gunshot wounds, one narrowly missing his spine, and was subjected to repeated beatings and dehumanising conditions.

According to him, the kidnappers operated sophisticated networks, including 27 camps in Ondo State, 16 in Ekiti, 7 in Osun, and 5 in Ogun, using advanced tracking tools and tactics to evade law enforcement. He also revealed that ransom logistics were often altered mid-way due to the gang’s surveillance of police activities.

“This is a critical opportunity for our security institutions to demonstrate that no one is above the law,” he added. “Lives are at stake. We must act swiftly and decisively.”

Ojajuni concluded by reaffirming Afenifere’s commitment to justice, youth protection, and national peace, calling on citizens to remain vigilant and to support security agencies with any relevant information.

The viral video, which has sparked outrage on social media, shows victims pleading for their lives while surrounded by heavily armed captors. Security agencies are yet to issue a formal statement on the footage at the time of this report.
