Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has signed into law the bill establishing the Edo State College of Nursing, Health Sciences and Technology in Udomi, Uwessan, within Esan Central Local Government Area.
Governor Okpebholo noted that the institution will drive growth, development, and job creation in the host community and beyond, while also enhancing the state’s standing in the health education sector. He commended the synergy between the legislative and executive arms of government, stressing that such collaboration is crucial for sustained progress.
The Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku, who led lawmakers to the bill signing, said the legislature carefully reviewed and approved the bill, recognizing its developmental potential.
The law—“Edo State College of Nursing, Health Sciences and Technology Law, Udomi, 2025”—is expected to significantly boost healthcare education and service delivery in Edo State.
