BREAKING: FG Declares Free Education, Launches Fully-Funded TVET Programme

 



In a bold and transformative move aimed at empowering Nigerian youths with hands-on skills and market-driven training, the Federal Government has declared free education at all 33 Federal Science and Technical Colleges (FSTCs) across the country. This groundbreaking initiative will take effect from the 2025/2026 academic session beginning in August 2025.

The announcement, which has been met with excitement by parents, educators, and students nationwide, is part of the Federal Government’s renewed commitment to expand access to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as a tool for national development, employment generation, and poverty reduction.

According to official details released, the TVET programme offers a robust, practical-oriented education designed to equip students with specialized and industry-relevant skills in various fields such as engineering, healthcare, hospitality, construction, and more. The three-year training is fully funded by the Federal Government and comes with an array of life-changing benefits.

How to Enroll:

  • Interested candidates should visit any of the 33 Federal Science and Technical Colleges (FSTCs) nationwide to register.
  • A one-time registration fee of N4,200 (Four Thousand, Two Hundred Naira) is required per student.
  • FSTC staff will assist candidates in completing their online registration upon payment.
  • Registration closes on Thursday, 12th June 2025, and no late entries will be allowed.
  • The entrance examination will be held on Saturday, 14th June 2025 at 9:00am at selected FSTC locations.
