A student of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science, and Technology (BOUESTI), Ikere Ekiti, identified as Femi Bejide, has been accused of raping a fellow student, Ojufun Precious, and threatening to release a nude video of her.
According to reports, the incident occurred on April 11, 2025, when Bejide allegedly lured the victim to his residence and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her. The situation escalated when he allegedly began sending threatening messages on April 13, demanding another meeting or he would circulate the compromising footage.
The matter was reported to the Ikere Ekiti Area Command on April 14. Prompt intervention by the Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Daramola Asoju, led to the suspect’s apprehension. Police authorities have since launched a preliminary investigation into the case.
The university community remains in shock as the matter continues to unfold.
