Trump to Ban Harvard University from Enrolling Foreign Students Following Visa Revocations

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has cut two grants worth over $2.7 million to Harvard University and threatened to revoke the school’s ability to enroll international students.

The decision follows actions by the Trump administration targeting the prestigious university for allegedly rejecting federal demands that, according to officials, compromise Harvard’s autonomy.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem accused the institution of fostering a “hostile learning environment” for Jewish students, claiming that Harvard has allowed anti-American and pro-Hamas ideologies to flourish on its campus.

The grants withdrawn include a $1.9 million allocation meant for violence prevention programs and another grant that supported what DHS labeled as a biased academic study.

Noem stated that Harvard’s position on these matters poses a threat to national security.

This comes amid reports that several Harvard students involved in pro-Palestinian protests have had their visas revoked.

In response, Harvard’s leadership has reaffirmed its commitment to institutional independence and pledged continued efforts to combat antisemitism on campus.
