Late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, was posthumously honoured at the 17th Headies Awards with the Best Street-Hop Artiste award for his hit song "Ask About Me".
His award was received on stage by his wife and young son, Liam, earning a standing ovation from the audience.
In addition, Mohbad's collaboration with singer Chike on the song "Egwu" won the Headies Viewers’ Choice Award. He was also posthumously nominated for Best Collaboration and Afrobeats Single of the Year for "Egwu."
A special tribute was held during the ceremony to celebrate his impact and the void left by his untimely passing.
