BREAKING: Popular Nigerian Broadcaster, Journalist, and On-air Personality Survives Horrific Accident

Popular broadcaster, journalist, and beloved on-air personality, Alhaji Abolade Salami, has opened up with deep emotion and gratitude after surviving a terrifying motor accident on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 an incident he describes as nothing short of a divine miracle.

With a trembling voice and a heart full of thanks, Alhaji Abolade shared his harrowing experience during a heartfelt moment on air. “Till now, I don’t know how God saved me,” he said. “It’s a miracle, a big miracle. I saw death, but God spared me.”

That morning, he set out as usual with his wife and child, heading to his duty post at Fresh FM, where he delivers the station’s beloved Yoruba news broadcast. His wife and child got off at Felele Junction, completely unaware of what was about to unfold just minutes later.

As he approached the gate of Fresh FM, a heavy-duty truck suddenly rammed into his car from behind as he tried to avoid hitting an okada rider who was riding on one way. The collision violently pushed his car into another fully loaded bus ahead. The impact was so severe that his vehicle was completely wrecked. Yet, by some inexplicable force, the second bus stopped his car from flipping over, a moment he believes was the hand of God intervening.

Staggeringly, he emerged from the crushed vehicle without a single injury. Bystanders stood in disbelief, many unable to comprehend how the man walking calmly from the wreck was indeed Alhaji Abolade himself.

“I stepped out and all I could hear were gasps and murmurs. People kept asking, ‘Is that him? How did he survive?’” he recounted emotionally. “I can’t explain it. I truly can’t.”

Overwhelmed by the love and concern shown to him, he took a moment to thank everyone who reached out, those who visited him at home and at the station, sent messages, and offered prayers.

With a heart still shaken but overflowing with gratitude, Alhaji Abolade concluded, “God gave me another chance. And for that, I will never stop giving thanks.”
