BREAKING: Court Sentences Popular Rapper to 80 Years in Prison

American rapper Tay-K, real name Taymor McIntyre, has been sentenced to 80 years in prison for the 2017 murder of photographer Mark Anthony Saldivar in Texas. The sentencing was handed down by a jury in Bexar County following a guilty verdict delivered earlier in the week.

At just 16 years old at the time of the crime, Tay-K was accused of fatally shooting Saldivar during a robbery involving stolen photography equipment. He had been initially charged with capital murder, but the charge was reduced to murder during the trial.

This isn’t Tay-K’s first conviction—he’s already serving a 55-year sentence for a separate 2016 fatal shooting near Fort Worth. His breakout hit, “The Race,” recorded while he was on the run, has amassed over 416 million Spotify streams.

Judge Stephanie Boyd, during sentencing, reminded the rapper of the weight of his actions, stating: “You can still better yourself... but the complainant in this case is deceased.”
