Elon Musk, the tech billionaire and owner of X, has revealed that the platform is experiencing a “massive cyberattack.”
“There was (and still is) a significant cyberattack against 𝕏,” Musk posted on Monday.
He explained that while X faces cyber threats daily, “this one has involved substantial resources.”
Although the source of the attack remains unclear, Musk suggested that “a large, coordinated group and/or a nation is involved. We’re tracing it.”
His statement aligns with earlier reports that X experienced outages, with approximately 40,000 users in the U.S. unable to access their accounts.
The incident highlights ongoing cybersecurity challenges for major tech platforms, especially amid concerns over data security and digital infrastructure threats.
