The first Ekiti State Indigenous broadcaster, Christianah Ademulegun, popularly known as ‘Eye Opitan’, has been reported dead.
‘Eye Opitan’, who was well-versed in the history of Ekiti towns and their 'oriki' (traditional praises), passed away at the age of 74.
A statement released by one of her children, Femi Ademulegun, revealed that the veteran broadcaster passed away after a brief illness in the early hours of Thursday.
Christianah Ademulegun retired from the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State and also worked as a consultant for a few private stations in the state.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren.
