How Nigerian Police Inspector Dies After Sæxual Encounter in Abuja Hotel
A tragic incident has unfolded in Gwagwalada, Abuja, where Inspector Lawal Ibrahim, a Nigerian police officer assigned to the Kwali Division, passed away after a sexual encounter with a woman he had met online.
The incident occurred at Palasa Guest Inn on Wednesday, where Inspector Ibrahim had checked in with his companion, Maryam Abba, who had traveled from Dutse, Jigawa State. According to Abba, after spending the night together, they engaged in a second round of sexual activity early the next morning. Shortly after, she noticed his breathing became irregular and then stopped altogether. Despite her attempts to revive him by sprinkling water, he did not regain consciousness.
Abba then alerted the hotel manager, Danlami Palasa, who contacted the police. Officers arrived at the scene and transported Ibrahim to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, where he was declared dead. His body has been deposited at the hospital's morgue.
A police source at the Gwagwalada division confirmed the incident on condition of anonymity. Maryam Abba has been arrested for questioning in connection with the event. Efforts to reach the spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, for a comment were unsuccessful.
Further investigations are ongoing.
