JUST NOW! Kano State Govt Reveals Shocking Reasons Why Armed Security Operatives Took Over Emir Sanusi's Palace

The Kano State Government has provided an explanation regarding the takeover of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi’s palace by armed security operatives on Friday, December 6, 2024. According to Abdullahi Bichi, the Secretary to the State Government, the security personnel were acting on orders from above, though he did not specify the exact source of these instructions.

Bichi expressed concern over the situation, suggesting that it might be an attempt to create unnecessary tension within the state. Upon inquiry, local police authorities stated they were following orders from higher levels. This explanation has led to further speculation, as Bichi questioned the nature of these orders, implying that only the Federal Government could issue such directives to the police.

The State Government raised concerns that some individuals might be collaborating with Abuja to incite unrest in Kano, a move that would be unacceptable to the local authorities. In response to rumors about potential violence, Bichi also clarified that the Bichi area remained peaceful, with residents continuing to be law-abiding.

The incident occurred on the same day that Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II was scheduled to visit Bichi with Alhaji Munir Sanusi, the newly appointed District Head of Bichi. The security blockade disrupted their plans, leaving officials stranded and causing public concern.

Despite requests for clarification from the public, the Kano State Police Command has not yet provided an official statement regarding the actions taken by the security forces.
