Senator Osita Ngwu, representing Enugu West Senatorial District and serving as the Senate Minority Whip, has praised Governor Peter Mbah for initiating several critical road construction projects across Enugu State. This ambitious move signals a new era in the state’s infrastructural development, addressing longstanding connectivity issues and improving access to essential services.
Governor Mbah recently inaugurated three major road projects that are expected to significantly enhance transportation and boost economic activities in the region. The projects include the 44.8 km Ama Eke – Eke – Oghe – Iwollo – Olo – Umulokpa road, linking Udi, Ezeagu, and Uzo-Uwani Local Government Areas. Another extensive undertaking, covering 78.85 km, is set to improve roads within the Nkanu East and Nkanu West areas. Additionally, the dualization of the 48 km Opi – Nsukka – Ekwegbe – Ugwogo – Enugu Road will facilitate smoother transit from Igbo-Etiti and Nsukka areas to the urban center, benefiting both daily commuters and businesses.
Senator Ngwu lauded these initiatives as reflective of Governor Mbah’s visionary leadership and commitment to improving the lives of Enugu’s residents. He highlighted the broader economic and social benefits that these projects will bring, including enhancing trade, reducing travel time, and fostering regional integration. "The flag-off of these roads is a testament to Governor Mbah’s dedication to transforming Enugu State into a model state. These projects will uplift our communities and strategically position Enugu on the national economic map," he remarked.
Furthermore, Senator Ngwu expressed his and his constituents' pride and gratitude toward the governor’s focus on impactful and sustainable development. He also assured Governor Mbah of unwavering support and collaboration as the state progresses toward greater development and prosperity.
