President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of four key officials to serve in critical roles within various Nigerian government agencies. The appointments include three directors-general and one special adviser in the area of public communications and media.
The newly appointed officials are as follows:
Mr. Olawale Olopade has been appointed as the Director-General of the National Sports Commission. Olopade brings a wealth of experience as a seasoned sports administrator, having previously served as the Commissioner of Youth and Sports in Ogun State. His leadership role as chairman of the local organizing committee for the 2024 National Sports Festival further emphasizes his expertise and commitment to sports development in Nigeria.
Dr. Abisoye Fagade has been named the Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism. Dr. Fagade, a marketing communication expert, is well-regarded in the hospitality and tourism sectors. He is the founder and managing director of Sodium Brand Solutions, where he has established a reputation for innovation and strategic planning.
Dr. Adebowale Adedokun will assume the role of Director-General at the Bureau of Public Procurement. Prior to this appointment, Adedokun served as the Director of Research, Training, and Strategic Planning at the bureau, where he contributed to its policies on procurement reform and transparency.
Mr. Daniel Bwala has been appointed as the Special Adviser on Public Communications and Media. Bwala, a lawyer and prominent public affairs analyst, is known for his in-depth analysis on national issues and brings substantial experience in media relations to the role.
