Eyewitnesses at the scene described a chaotic and terrifying atmosphere as the explosion sent shockwaves through the area. Gyang Buba, a clothes vendor who was near the incident, recounted, “I was nearby when I heard a loud bang. I saw people running and screaming. It was terrifying.” Several people sustained injuries, although the full extent of casualties remains unclear, and reports are circulating that there may have been fatalities.
Security and emergency response teams quickly mobilized to the scene, with personnel from the police, fire department, and medical services arriving promptly to contain the situation and administer first aid to those affected.
