Kachalla Ibrahim Gurgun Daji, a notorious bandit leader, has been killed in Kwanar Nasiru, a location east of Mada town in Gusau Local Government Area, Zamfara State. Reports indicate that Gurgun Daji was eliminated by a rival faction on Sunday, leaving his body at the scene.
Gurgun Daji had gained infamy across the region for orchestrating violent attacks along the Kwatarkwashi-Mada road and other areas. His base of operations was located in Shangel village, east of Mada town, from where he directed numerous criminal activities. Notably, he was involved in purchasing kidnapped victims and collaborating with other criminal elements, such as Bello Taggoje, who reportedly sought refuge at his residence.
His criminal network included a large number of followers who participated in various acts of banditry and terror, further destabilizing the region.
